In honor of October’s Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, the Arizona Humane Society is offering to waive the adoption fee for dogs who have been at a shelter for more than 30 days.
According to AHS, you can tell which dogs are available for free due to a red leaf hanging on their kennel.
Dogs up for adoption are already spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adoptees will also receive a free follow-up exam to VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a bag of food.
