Adele Reschedules Phoenix Concert

Many fans were crushed at the cancellation of British superstar Adele’s second concert last Wednesday that was scheduled to take place at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.  Due to a sudden illness, Adele posted a video on Twitter just hours before her scheduled performance announcing her cancellation due to a horrible cold and weak voice. The video that broke the devastating news to fans can be found here.

While locals were disappointed at the news, there were some that had traveled thousands of miles for the concert that were even more heartbroken. With the announcement coming so close to show time, many fans were already lined up outside the arena waiting for admission, and had to be turned away on the spot.

The venue, who is managed by Live Nation had posted notices on exterior doors that read “Please hold onto your tickets and stay tuned for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience. Refunds available at point of purchase.”  Adele made an announcement the following morning via Twitter that the performance was rescheduled for Monday, November 21st at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.  Tickets from the original performance will be honored at the concert, or fans can choose to have their tickets refunded if they cannot make the rescheduled date.

Adele also had to cancel two performance is Cardiff and Blackpool back in September due to a cold as well. While a cancelled show is never welcome news, Adele prides herself in giving her shows her all and never wants to put on a half hearted performance, hence the cancellations.
