A Record $220M To Be Given Back In 2019 By Arizona Lottery

Thanks to its players and proud retail partners, a projected $220 million is expected to be donated in FY2019 by the Arizona Lottery. The money will assist The State of Arizona with funding vital programs and services.

Among those benefitting from the donation are over a dozen state-run programs that benefit residents across Arizona.

“This is great news for all of Arizona as we are all winners with the Lottery,” Executive Director Gregg Edgar said, “The money raised, through Lottery ticket sales, goes to fund critical services for the people of Arizona.  These include Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, who speak for abused and neglected children in court, and the Internet Crimes against Children Task Force, tirelessly seeking out internet predators to protect our kids from online exploitation.”

This marks the second-straight year that the Arizona Lottery has seen record returns, after donating $212 million in 2018. The 2018 donation made it a $4.2 billion donation total that started nearly 38 years ago.

As excitement builds for Mega Millions and Powerball, those numbers are expected to see a continuous climb in the future.

Players can purchase Mega Millions, Powerball, The Pick and Triple Twist at all Arizona Lottery retailers.
