One Driver Hospitalized; Bus Passengers Suffer Minor Injuries in Afternoon Collision

PHOENIX — A collision involving a city bus and another vehicle left eight people injured Wednesday afternoon in northwest Phoenix, according to police.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. near 31st Avenue and Cactus Road, the Phoenix Police Department said.

Officers arrived to find that two vehicles, including a public transit bus, were involved in the crash.

Authorities reported that the bus driver and six passengers sustained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization.

The other driver, identified as an adult male, was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
