3 Dead, 5 Injured in Shooting at Glendale Restaurant, Police Seek Suspects

Gunfire erupts at El Camaron Gigante; multiple shooters suspected in Sunday night attack

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Three people were killed and five others injured during a shooting at a Glendale restaurant on Sunday evening, according to authorities.

The Glendale Police Department said officers responded to reports of gunfire around 7:45 p.m. at El Camaron Gigante Mariscos & Steakhouse, located near Glendale and Grand avenues at 6729 N. 57th Drive.

Five victims sustained injuries from gunfire or shrapnel. The three deceased were pronounced dead at the scene.


Police believe multiple suspects were involved in the shooting, though no arrests have been made as of Monday morning. The motive has not yet been determined.

The restaurant is located just across the street from Glendale police headquarters. Authorities confirmed no officers were involved in the incident.

Glendale PD said the area is now secure and poses no further risk to the public. The scene remains under investigation.
