This weekend in Glendale, people will have the opportunity to explore the sweeter side of life during the 24th annual Chocolate Affaire this weekend.

Set to take place at Murphy Park, located at 58th and Glendale avenues, the free event will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Guests will able to check out 40 featured chocolate vendors and meet romance novelists or attend painting classes.

An annual sponsor of the event, Cerreta Candy Company also opens its factory for tours.

Visitors will have the opportunity to make their own candy and also get a behind-the-scenes look at the candy-making process.

Free shuttles are provided to bring guests from the festival to the candy factory.
