18-Year-Old Killed, Two Others Injured in Glendale Shooting

Police investigating late-night gunfire near 69th Avenue and Butler Drive as attempted armed robbery.

An attempted armed robbery in Glendale ended in gunfire Thursday night, leaving an 18-year-old dead and two others wounded, police said.

The shooting happened just after 10:30 p.m. near 69th Avenue and Butler Drive, where officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired. When they arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, identified as Dilan Allende, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two others were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

Detectives are treating the case as an attempted robbery but have withheld further details while the investigation continues. Authorities have not announced any arrests or named possible suspects.
