16-year-old Girl Shot Sunday, in Critical Condition

After a double shooting in the West Valley Sunday night, a 16-year-old girl is in extremely critical condition and an 18 year old man has a non-life-threatening injury.

Around 11:30 p.m., Phoenix police were called to the area of 65th Avenue and Thomas Road for reports of a shooting.

When police arrived they located two victims with gunshot wounds were found in a vehicle, shot by an unknown person.

Police say both victims were taken to the hospital. The 16-year-old girl is in extremely critical condition. The 18-year-old man had non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives will continue their investigation to determine what let up to the shooting..

Detectives are continuing to investigate what happened and ask anybody with information to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness to remain anonymous. The victims names have not yet been released
