16-Year-Old Arrested for First-Degree Murder at Mesa Trailer Park

Teen Charged with Murder, Armed Robbery, and More After Fatal Shooting

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following the fatal shooting of a man at a Mesa trailer park, authorities reported Monday.

The incident occurred on Dec. 18 near McKellips Road and College Avenue. Witnesses stated the suspect fired multiple shots at the victim, who was seated in the driver’s seat of a green truck. The suspect then fled the scene in the vehicle.

The truck was later found abandoned approximately eight miles away, near Val Vista Drive and McDowell Road. Police also recovered the victim’s body and the suspected murder weapon.

The teenager was apprehended without incident at an apartment nine days after the crime. In addition to murder, he faces charges of armed robbery, abandonment of a dead body, and tampering with evidence.
