15-Year-Old Girl Arrested After Late-Night Brawl in Gilbert Parking Lot

Teen faces assault and curfew charges as police investigate fight involving group of girls

GILBERT — A teenage girl has been arrested following a weekend altercation involving a group of young girls in a Gilbert parking lot, according to the Gilbert Police Department.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Williams Field Road and Market Street. Authorities say multiple teenage girls were involved in the fight, which drew attention from nearby witnesses.

After reviewing video footage and conducting interviews at the scene, police identified and arrested a 15-year-old girl in connection with the incident. She was booked on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and a curfew violation.

Gilbert’s municipal curfew ordinance requires minors under 16 to be accompanied by a parent or guardian if they’re out past 10 p.m. For 16- and 17-year-olds, the cutoff is midnight. Violating curfew can result in warnings, citations, or even arrest depending on the circumstances.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are continuing to collect witness statements and video evidence. Officials are encouraging anyone with additional information or footage to submit tips anonymously online or via text.

This incident comes amid heightened awareness around youth violence in the East Valley, following a series of high-profile teen-related crimes over the past year. While it is unclear whether this latest incident is connected to any known groups or trends, Gilbert police say they are treating the case seriously.

Community members are urged to help foster safe environments and report any concerns related to juvenile disturbances.
