PHOENIX — A one-year-old child is in critical condition after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at a north Phoenix motel on Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The incident occurred near Interstate 17 and Bell Road. According to the Phoenix Fire Department, emergency responders performed life-saving measures at the scene before transporting the child to a hospital in “extremely critical condition.”
Family members at the motel told fire personnel the child had been left unattended in the bathtub for an unknown amount of time.
The Phoenix Police Department is handling the investigation.
