Phoenix, AZ – A tragic accident on Interstate 10 early Saturday morning resulted in one fatality and injuries to 16 others after a large commercial bus was involved in a single-vehicle crash. The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the scene just after 5:30 a.m. on the eastbound section of the highway near 7th Street.
Of the 23 people on board, 17 were treated for injuries, with most being minor, according to fire officials. However, one adult transported in extremely critical condition succumbed to their injuries later in the morning.
No further details about the cause of the crash have been released at this time, and authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
