Just in time to help with your New Year’s resolution to eat better, a new all-vegan grocery store is building a larger location in Glendale, Arizona. Veggie Rebellion will open later this month near Phoenix, located at Glendale and 57th Avenues. Bryant Commercial Real Estate heads up the contract on the store’s lease.

Veggie Rebellion will carry vegan groceries in partnership with the Herbivorous Butcher, which provides meat and cheese alternatives. The Herbivorous Butcher is based in Minnesota and began as a farm stand by siblings Aubry and Kale Walch. They will provide their small-batch meatless meats and cheese items to the Veggie Rebellion.

In addition to vegan products, Veggie Rebellion also aims to reduce the waste prevalent in most stores. They encourage shoppers to bring bags and containers for their purchases.

Plant-based diets and vegan lifestyles have exploded in popularity in recent years. An estimated 6 percent of the U. S. may be vegan, while others are actively cutting down on meat consumption. Doing so is toted to have multiple health and environmental benefits.
