Trans-Siberian Orchestra Coming to Phoenix

The multi-platinum, critically acclaimed Trans-Siberian Orchestra has announced its Winter Tour 2017 to the joy of music lovers.

The yearly Winter Tour has become one of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s most highly anticipated works and is a multi-generational holiday tradition for many.

The 2017 tour will feature a presentation of the Orchestra’s enduring “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” as an entirely updated showing. Many fans were delighted to hear this news and look forward to a brand new performance.

The tour will begin on November 16th and will end on December 30th after visiting more than 60 cities for more than 100 performances.

The Gila River Arena will host two shows on Sunday, December 3rd. Tickets for both of these shows will go on sale on Friday, September 15th. The first show at 3:30 pm is sponsored by 99.9 KEZ and a portion of the ticket sales will go to Operation Santa Claus. The second show at 8:00 pm is sponsored by 100.7 KSLX with part of the proceeds benefitting the Arizona Animal Welfare League.

This Tran-Siberian Orchestra tour will be dedicated to celebrating the artistic accomplishments and life of the late Paul O’Neill. O’Neill was the creator, composer, and lyricist behind the group and the inventor of the “rock theater” genre. Prior to his passing, O’Neill prepared this year’s new edition of “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” which features exceptional effects, staging, and spectacles to even further engage fans.

This past July, the group also lost bassist Dave Z (Dave Zabildowsky) in an accident. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra has said that fans who would like to donate in either Paul or Dave’s names should do so by doing something generous or kind for someone less fortunate or anyone who can use a helping hand

The rock opera will feature memorable fan-favorites such as “Christmas Eve/Saravejo 12/24,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Good King Joy,” “Music Box Blues,” “This Christmas Day,” “Promises to Keep,” and “Christmas Canon.”
