Short Leash Hotdogs is moving from Roosevelt Street to 7th Avenue at the end of July. The restaurant will be north of Indian School Road and replace Original Wineburger.

The owner, Kat Moore, said they have been wanting to move to 7th Avenue for years because they live in the neighborhood. She also said that the timing worked out because her lease was ending at the same time Original Wineburger closed.

According to Moore, the new location was essentially move-in ready. Moore added additional parking.

Short Leash Hotdogs was originally a food truck, but since has expanded into two restaurants. The second location is at Biltmore Fashion Park. Moore also owns a food truck, Rollover Doughnuts.

The annual “Wurst Festival Ever” will be held on July 21st at the Roosevelt location. Cost of admission is $10 with $3 food samples.

Moore said that they have enjoyed their time at that location but that they are looking forward to the future.
