Scottsdale Fashion Square to Gain International Restaurant Sensation: Nobu

The first ever in Arizona restaurants, Nobu is coming to Scottsdale Fashion Square, which is a one-of-a-kind retail property that’s part of the Macerich portfolio. The new Nobu in Scottsdale will be located just outside of Scottsdale Fashion Square’s separate luxury wing, anchored by stores such as Neiman Marcus. It will feature genre-defining signature dishes like Black Cod with Miso, Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño, and world-renowned sushi, as well as inventive new dishes that will be created uniquely for the Scottsdale location.

Chef Nobu Matsuhisa says that Scottsdale is a beautiful place, and Fashion Square seems to be at its center. He notes that he looks forward to bringing the residents of Scottsdale Nobu signature dishes. The opening date and design details of the establishment have not yet been announced, but they are certain to amaze residents of Scottsdale.

Michael Guerin, Senior Vice President of Leasing at Macerich was interviewed saying, “The polished perfection of Nobu is a wonderful expression of the luxury experiences Scottsdale Fashion Square continues to bring to this exceptional and increasingly affluent market.”

The Scottsdale Fashion Square has a phased renovation project ongoing, and this is in order to maximize the property’s location at the heart of Scottsdale. It will begin with the new luxury wing renovation, and will be followed by addition of residences, Class A offices spaces, and even a hotel. The luxury presentation will open this Fall, and will feature new fine furnishings, finishes, and custom artwork, as well as luxury valet, and resort-level restrooms. There will also be a striking new north entrance and arrival point, and two-story storefronts that include destination restaurants with café style seating.

Chef Nobu pointed out that design is important, and they’re happy to be included in a property that features such beautiful design. Scottsdale Fashion Square is one of the country’s premiere shopping destinations, with 1.9 million square feet, and more than 200 shops and restaurants. It features luxury brands such as Gucci, Cartier, Burberry, and Sephora. In addition to this, a premium workplace operator company, Industrious, plans to open a major coworking space on the property in January of 2019.
