Salvation Army Heat Relief Stations in the Valley

As triple digit temperatures make their way back to the Valley, the Salvation Army is doing their part to help counteract the heat. Starting in the month of June, the Salvation Army will open 14 different locations to help people cool down and stay hydrated from the heat. Specifically, the Salvation Army’s Family Services (2707 East Van Buren Street) will be open from 8 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.

Other relief centers will also be available for people to come and cool off. Each day from 11 a.m. until 5 at night, residents can come to these locations:

Apache Junction
Apache Junction Corps (605 East Broadway Road)

Avondale
Estrella Mountain Corps (11 North Third Avenue)

Chandler
Chandler Corps (85 East Saragosa Street)

Glendale
Glendale Corps (6010 West Northern Avenue)
Valley of the Sun Korean Corps (7238 N. 61st Avenue)

Mesa
Mesa Corps (241 East Sixth Street)

Phoenix
Eastlake Park (Southwest Corner of East Jefferson Street and South 16th Street)
Phoenix Central Corps (4343 North 16th Street)
Phoenix Citadel Corps (628 North Third Avenue)
Phoenix Kroc Center (1375 East Broadway Road)
Phoenix Maryvale Corps (4318 West Clarendon Avenue)

Surprise
Sun Cities West Valley Corps (17420 North Avenue of the Arts Boulevard)

Tempe
Tempe Corps (40 East University Drive)

If you are in need of Salvation’s Army mobile patrol, they can be dispatched anywhere in the Valley to help rehydrate people. Most importantly, the Salvation Army hopes that people will check on their neighbors during this hot season, to make sure people are well-hydrated. Wearing sunscreen and hats can go a long way from blocking the sun’s harsh rays.
