Rise And Shine Phoenix, IHOP Opens First Bar In Arizona

The International House of Pancakes is adding a few more items on their menu to go along with those tasty breakfast items, booze.

IHOP recently opened a restaurant in Central Phoenix with a full-service bar. With the exception from airport locations, it is the first IHOP in the country to have a bar.

Operators of several IHOPS in Arizona, Romulus Restaurant Group, took over the Lone Star Steakhouse location at the Camelback Colonnade near Camelback Road and the State Route 51 and proposed the idea to IHOP’s corporate team.

Arizona can bask in this one of a kind status as currently there are no plans to expand the bar concept, according to a news release.

The “Rise and Shine” menu offers beer, wine and a few cocktails including: Mulemosa: Regatta Ginger beer, sparkling wine, and a splash of orange juice. Blue Roof Blood Mary: Tajin rim, celery, olives, and hickory-smoked bacon. Frozen Rooty Rita: Blended margarita with strawberry puree

The IHOP restaurant is open 24 hours, however the bar serves every day from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
