Representative Mosley Warned Six Times About Speeding

Arizona Department of Public Safety has warned Arizona Representative Paul Mosley (Lake Havasu City) 5 times about his speeding since February of 2017. Recently video from Rep. Mosley’s sixth warning on March 27, 2018 has surfaced. Not only did Rep. Mosley receive a warning for driving 97 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone, but he argued that the officer was prohibited from arresting him because of “legislative immunity” and joked about driving in excess of 140 miles per hour on other occasions.

Rep. Mosley released a statement on Facebook expressing that there was no justification for his speeding or reference to legislative immunity, which he called a “serious responsibility.” Mosley also stated that his jokes about excessive speeding here “inappropriate and showed extremely bad judgment on [his] part, for which [he is] truly sorry.” Despite his statement a police organization withdrew its endorsement of Rep. Mosley and the Mohave County Republican Party voted to censure him for his conduct.
