Pet owners in the Arcadia area will be glad to know there is a now a new option to keep Fido safe and happy while on vacation. Dogtopia has opened a second location in the valley and offers services of doggie daycare and boarding.

The new franchise location opened its doors at 3031 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix just this month. Dogtopia was originally founded in 2002 and moved its headquarters to Phoenix in 2016. And just last year, Dogtopia opened its first location in Scottsdale. The new Phoenix location is owned and operated by Chip and Jo Ann Wickens.

New business owners the Wickens were drawn to Dogtopia’s business model, which pairs perfectly with their love for dogs.

“Having two dogs of our own, we know the struggle pet parents have leaving their special furry children alone or in an isolated kennel environment,” Chip Wickens said in a press release. “Our mission is to provide local pups the opportunity to meet new friends, get exercise, enjoy playtime and have quality human interaction.

The Phoenix Dogtopia features an open layout with playrooms for pooches based on different sizes. Each room is equipped with rubber flooring as well as a powerful HVAC system to pump in fresh air. Customers can enjoy the opportunity to check in on their beloved pets while they are away through Dogtopia’s Webcams system.
