New List Ranks Phoenix Children’s Hospital As One Of The Best In The Country

There’s good cause for celebration over at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital, especially since it just took the eight spot on a list of top children’s medicals facilities in the US.

According to U.S. News and World Report’s rankings, the hospital in Phoenix scored in all ten of the specialty categories.

Some notable rankings:

  • Ninth in cardiology and heart surgery
  • Twentieth in cancer and blood disorders
  • Twenty-third in nephrology
  • Twenty-fourth in orthopedics
  • Twenty-sixth in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal survey
  • Twenty-eighth in neurology and neurosurgery
  • Twenty-eighth in urology
  • Thirty-fourth in neonatology
  • Thirty-fifth in diabetes and endocrinology
  • Thirty-ninth in pulmonology

Clinical outcomes, best care practices, and sufficient care-related resources were the three elements the ranking system evaluated. 189 children’s hospitals participated in the study.

Although Phoenix Children’s Hospital didn’t make the top ten honor roll, which was headed by Boston’s Children’s Hospital, it is still nice to know a celebrated medical facility is operating in the area and serving the community.
