Mesa Public-Private Partnership

Mesa is set to lose $3.7 million due to budget cuts. To limit the impact of these cuts, the Mesa Fire and Medical Department and the Mesa Chamber of Commerce are looking to private businesses for help. This public-private partnership will give local private businesses the opportunity to advertise on 25 of Mesa Fire and Medical Department’s vehicles while also helping the community.

Private business will soon be able to purchase sponsorship packages ranging in price from $2,500 to $15,000. But this won’t be advertising. The sponsorships will feature the company’s logo on a vinyl door decal with a health and safety message over the top.

The City of Mesa hopes this sponsorship project will bring in approximately $250,000 per year. Not only making up for the budget cuts, but also allowing the Mesa Fire and Medical department to develop additional services, like community education, and limit any reduction in the city’s 9-1-1 budget. Likewise, local Mesa businesses hope that this sponsorship will give them the more exposure in the community.
