Meet Martha Stewart at Food & Wine Experience

Gannett Inc. announced at the third annual azcentral.com Food & Wine Experience this November will have an Emmy Award-winning television personality, best-selling author and lifestyle businesswoman headlining the event, the one and only Martha Stewart.

The two-day event running on November 4-5 to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is produced by azcentral.com, Republic Media and R Entertainment.

As the author of over 80 cookbooks, publisher to her magazine, Martha Stewart Living, and the host of the PBS show “Martha Bakes,” Stewart is a pioneer in the lifestyle industry. On Saturday, November 4, she is the festival’s celebrity guest and will lead cooking demonstrations while she shares her favorite cooking techniques and recipes.

The chance to connect with local chefs was a reason behind Stewart’s visit to the region. In a statement, she says “For many years, I have worked with scores of great chefs, talented mixologists and brilliant entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry who are changing the regional landscape and instilling a new appreciation for the local farm to table.”

By teaming up with Stewart, Gannett’s USA TODAY NETWORK, is building brand awareness to its varying properties across the U.S.

Andy Yost, Gannett’s chief marketing officer, said to USA TODAY in a story announcing the partnership, “Martha Stewart seemed to be a great fit for us in terms of her background in food and entertainment, and afforded us the opportunity to really bring her aspirational brand into a partnership with us in these key markets.”

Visiting the Food & Wine Experience event will be one of the fours stops for Stewart with Gannett Inc. The annual event began in September 2015 in Scottsdale which has become a culinary tour highlighting regional food trends, and offering guests of the event unlimited food samplings from more than 35 top chefs at local restaurants. The event also boasts more the 200 selections of craft beers, distinctive spirits and fine wines.

The event in its past two years has attracted thousands of guests.
