Lights Fest Rescheduled

The Lights Fest that was planned to take place during October in Florence, AZ has been rescheduled to February 3, 2018. Festival coordinators said, “While going through our final preparations and reviewing the permit status, it came to our attention that there are still some items that need finalized before the event can take place. We are working closely with city officials.”

According to the website, “The Lights Fest is an experience where thousands of friends and families gather to listen to live music, fill up on great food and light up life by sharing personal wishes, dreams and goals. At the perfect moment, everyone ignites their personalized sky lanterns with Tiki torches and lets them take flight. It creates a surreal ambiance, where time slows down as your single flame rises with thousands of others. Come fill the sky with what lights you.”

In addition to the Phoenix/Tucson area, The Lights Festival has tour dates scheduled at several other cities across the United States. Although some events are sold out, tickets are still available for the Phoenix/Tucson festival and range in price from $25 to $55. Each ticket includes a packet containing a lantern, marker, and key chain flashlight. Children under three are free, but those ages 4 – 12 need to purchase a kids ticket for $8. The festival will be held at Country Thunder 20585 E. Price Station Rd Florence, AZ 85132. Those who are planning to attend are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and warm clothing.
