James Beard Foundation’s Taste America Tour Kicks Off in Phoenix

The James Beard Foundation will be starting off a national tour later this month in Arizona.

At Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley, events will start on September 20th all the way through the 23rd.

Foodies can watch a screening of “James Beard: American’s First Foodie” on the 20th to enjoy a movie about the man himself. Tickets for the Phoenix showing at Mountain Shadows Resort are $25. The night after, on the 21st, there will be a welcome reception at Little Cleo’s restaurant.

The night of the 22nd, the proceedings return to Mountain Shadows in the form of a benefit dinner. Tickets for the dinner go all the way up to $5,000 for a seat at the VIP table. James Beard Foundation’s Taste America Scholarship Fund will be the charity that receives a portion of the ticket sales from the dinner.

On September 23rd, there will be two free demos with Traci Des Jardins and Chris Bianco at Sur La Table at Scottsdale Fashion Square.
