Frontier Announces New Expansion, Phoenix Gets New Routes

Flyers will now have two new direct flight options out of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.  First of many additions announced by Frontier on Wednesday. These new routes will take passengers nonstop to the heart of Texas, Austin, and San Antonio.

Frontier’s big expansion goal is to offer a broader selection of nonstop routes and open over 1000 new connecting options. These plans include doubling the number of routes to 85 and adding 21 new cities to flight plans.  The airline plans to have routes and cities added by summer of 2018.

Playing to the Low Down Right motto, President, and CEO of Frontier Billy Biffle boasts “We project this will save our customers over a billion dollars annually on their flights. These new flights will allow us to serve even more of America and make flying a truly affordable option.” The big expansion news sweetened by Frontier offering to lower fares to $39 for a limited time.

Once complete the expansion would provide service to about 90 percent of the population of the United States. The airline claims that it would save fliers about $1 billion. That is some serious savings.  Frontier is sticking with the more is a better idea to lower fares.

“By taking advantage of our natural share of connecting passengers, we can offer our low fares to even more of America,’” Biffle said.  Frontier is building their market share by offering customers the ability to customize their travel to their individual needs and budget.

No better time than now to take a last minute trip! Although there were no eligible deals from Phoenix, one-way flights from the desert priced as low as $45.00. Tickets for the new routes are available on Frontier’s website.
