First Marijuana Kitchen In The United States Is Opening In Tempe

The Mint Dispensary in Tempe, Arizona will become the United States’ first full-service cannabis kitchen on Friday, Oct. 5. Those in possession of a medicinal marijuana card will be able to purchase warm meals infused with cannabis. 

The state-of-the-art kitchen will have a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu that will be prepared on location by executive chef Carylnn Princial. The marijuana-infused menu will also consist of a number of items that can be carried out, along with a juice bar, barista, pastry counter and gelato.

All items will include marijuana doses starting at 10 mg and up.


The full list of menu items can be found at themintdispensary.com following the kitchen’s opening on Oct. 5. The kitchen will be operating during the dispensaries normal business hours – 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.

Home delivery will become available during the holiday season, along with catering services for larger medicated events, with everyone attending the events required to possess a medical cannabis card upon delivery.

A classically-trained chef and cancer survivor, Chef Principal created all of the dispensary’s recipes and is looking forward to providing nutritional knowledge with others facing similar medical battles.

The Medical Dispensary will also begin holding free cooking classes on Sunday mornings once the holiday season begins. Each class will have a 15-person limit, and all customers with a medicinal cannabis card are required to register online in advance.
