Elton John is about to embark upon his final tour. Knowledge of the tour entitled “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” was made public Wednesday, and will take the celebrated musician all around the world. The tour itself will take place over the course of 3 years, and around 300 appearances will be made.

Elton John plans to imbue this final tour with the energy and enthusiasm that has kept fans listening throughout the decades. He will be making one of his appearances at Glendale Arizona’s Gila River Arena, on the 26th of January, 2019. Tickets for the event can be purchased as early as February 2nd, 2018. However, those who bank with American Express, will have an exclusive 5 day window starting January 25th, 2018 to get tickets in advance. These presale tickets can be obtained after registering with Ticketmaster.

The iconic musician is optimistic about beginning the next phase of his life, after this tour comes to a close. After spending decades performing on the road, he has emphasized that spending time with his children, will be his number one priority upon returning home.

A Multiple-Decade-Spanning Storied Career

Throughout his career, he has experienced nothing less than staggering success. In addition to 34 Grammy nominations (five wins), he has one Academy Award for his contribution to the 1994 Disney classic, The Lion King.

In addition to music, he is the founder of The Elton John AIDS Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to HIV prevention, as well as providing care for those who suffer from the disease. The organization also puts on the annual Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Award Party, where money is raised to contribute to the organization’s fund.
