Downtown Phoenix’s Margaret T. Hance Park will host the “Howl-O-Ween” dog costume parade on Sunday, October 28th.

The event for all ages invites residents to dress up their dogs for the Halloween event, which will also consist of live music, food trucks, cash bars and more.

While the event is free to all interested, there is a registration fee to participate in the parade. Starting at $20, the cost of registration includes a discount drink ticket for the four-legged friend’s owner.

Nonprofit organizations One Community, Arizona Animal Welfare League and 100 Club will be the recipients of all of the “Howl-O-Ween” proceeds.

Inspiration for the dog costume parade comes from the Barkus Marti Gras dog parade in New Orleans.

Cats, outside food or beverages, unregistered dogs and Bluetooth speakers are prohibited from the party.

The event will run from 2-6 p.m., with the parade set to begin at 3 p.m. At 4:15 p.m., a costume contest awards ceremony will take place.
