Def Leppard & Journey: 58-City Tour Includes Phoenix

Two of the most iconic rock bands in history are scheduled to appear at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix on Sept. 7. English rock band Def Leppard and the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Journey are collaborating on the North American tour beginning on May 21 in Hartford, CT.

Def Leppard formed in 1977 and has sold over 100 million records worldwide. Known for their groundbreaking hits like “Bringin’ On the Heartbreak,” “Photograph” and “Rock of Ages,” the band consists of Joe Elliott (vocals), Vivian Campbell (guitar), Phil Collen (guitar), Rick “Sav” Savage (bass) and Rick Allen (drums). Lead singer Joe Elliot said, “This tour is going to be a blast! We’ve toured together before and it was massive. This time it’s going to be even bigger and better!”

Journey formed in 1973 and was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Current band members include: Neal Schon (all guitars, backing vocals), Ross Valory (bass, backing vocals), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Steve Smith (drums) and Arnel Pineda (lead vocals). Some of the band’s biggest hits include: ”Lights,””Don’t Stop Believin’,” and “Faithfully.” Singer and guitarist Neal Schon said, “These co-headlining Journey/Def Leppard dates will be epic classic rock shows. So many hits. It will be great to see you all, friends!”


The tour will be held in stadiums and arenas across the USA and Canada. It will feature complete sets and all-new production by both of the bands. Journey and Def Leppard toured together previously 12 years ago. Tickets go on sale beginning Saturday, February 3, at LiveNation.com
