Cooking Classes Offer Health, Flavor, Fun

Looking for some great cooking classes in Phoenix to help you improve your skills in the kitchen? Look no further! Chef and North Central resident Nancy Matsui is offering a new, affordable cooking class series.

As the founder of Onion Enterprise, Nancy is introducing an Education in Flavor class series, in which she offers classes from her home every Saturday from 11 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. Her home is located near 15th and Northern Avenues in Phoenix. Each class costs $20 per person and includes a demonstration of new recipes, a tasting, and a copy of the recipes.

The first class of the series kicks off on September 16th with a “Sweet and Savory: Condiments” class. The other classes include Trilogy of Food Plans on September 23rd, Italian Moments on October 7th, and Yotam Ottolenghi on October 21st.

If you’re looking for a class that will help you prepare for the holidays, check out the Holiday Sides class on November 4th or the Holiday Goodies class on November 11th. There’s a $5 discount if you reserve a space in advance for both holiday-themed classes.

To find out more information about the different classes, you can pick up a copy of Nancy’s Education in Flavor pamphlet at the Uptown Farmers Market information booth each Saturday from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. The Farmers Market is located at North Phoenix Baptist Church at 5757 North Central Avenue.
