Big Productions to Headline Broadway Season at ASU Gammage

If you love Broadway, get ready because a few big-name shows are coming to the Valley. The Arizona State University’s Gammage Auditorium released its upcoming Broadway season on Monday, and residents are very excited for the opportunity to see some of these shows.

Those behind the scenes are just as excited. “This season is packed with Broadway’s biggest hits, and I can’t wait for the Valley to experience these amazing productions,” says Colleen Jennings-Roggensack, the executive director of ASU Gammage and ASU vice president for cultural affairs.

The season of shows is offering something for everyone. All members of the family will have the opportunity to be entertained.

The 2018-2019 season begins in October and will feature “Wicked,” “Rent,” and “Aladdin.” “The Book of Mormon” will also be returning.

There are multiple ways to buy tickets for the season: single-show tickets and a season subscription.

Subscription start at $190 per seat for seven shows, and they will go on sale May 7. Season ticket renewals are due by April 13.

Some productions — like “Wicked,” “Rent” and “Book of Mormon” — are not included in every subscription, but tickets can be purchased for an additional fee.

The current season will end in June with “School of Rock,” and it will be one of the most successful Broadway season in the auditorium’s history. The season’s success can be contributed to a month-long production of “Hamilton.” The single production generated $50 million in economic impact, and it was the first time Broadway season tickets were sold out.
