Arizona Energy Consortium Hosts Governor As Keynote at Southwest Energy Conference

The Arizona Energy Consortium (AEC), a non-profit organization, announced that the Honorable Doug Ducey, Governor of Arizona, will present the Keynote at the Southwest Energy Conference where he will discuss Arizona’s commitment to powering our economy and the strong position that Arizona has in the energy sector.

Governor Ducey has expressed the importance of looking well into the future to meet Arizona’s and America’s energy needs, and key to meeting those needs is ongoing commitment to the principles that have been guiding Arizona’s energy policy for years: planning, resourcefulness, and a drive for innovation.

The AEC “has worked since its inception 7 years ago to promote policies that will strengthen the energy industry regionally and promote certainty in policies so the energy sector can continue to thrive,” says Co- Executive Director Michelle De Blasi, an environmental and energy law partner with the law firm of Fennemore Craig. The goal of the Southwest Energy Conference is to “open a broader dialogue of stakeholders to discuss the changing regional market forces and resulting impacts,” says Co-Executive Director Chris Davey, President of EnviroMission.

The Southwest Energy Conference will be held on September 20-21, 2018, at the Hotel Valley Ho. For more information about registration and sponsorship of the conference, please visit http://arizonaenergyconsortium.com/southwest-energy-conference/
