30 Story Apartment Complex Coming to Phoenix

Downtown Phoenix’s housing market is continuing its growth as another apartment complex is being built in the area.

The Phoenix Business Journal developers began construction on November 20th on a thirty-story tower that is called The Linx PHX.

The tower is being described as a mixed-use apartment complex. The Linx PHX will have 257 residential units and have ground-level retail space.

According to AZBigMedia, the apartments that are expected to be offered are studio apartments, one bedroom with one bath, and two bedrooms with two baths. The apartments are to have high-end features with private balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows and in-unit washers and dryers.

The tower is anticipated to have amenities such as a business center, fitness center, group entertainment center, outdoor dog run, rooftop pool and a spa.

The Linx PHX will be located less than a half mile away from downtown Phoenix’s Arizona State University campus at Third and Pierce streets.

As reported by AZBigMedia, in the next 15 years the building is only the first part of a three-part phase to have mixed-use development that will produce “more than 600 rental residences and 21,000 square feet of retail space” to downtown’s Roosevelt Row.

When the tower is finished, it will be one of the tallest buildings in Arizona. Mark Stinger who is with Diamond Realty has stated that developers hope the Linx PHX will “set a new standard for rental living in downtown Phoenix.”

The project has been praised by Phoenix City Councilwoman Kate Gallego, stating that the building and others like it will make “downtown Phoenix a true live-work-play destination, further strengthening the downtown economy.”

The Phoenix Business Journal has reported that the Linx PHX is planned to be opened in August 2019.
