3 Tasty Food Festivals This Weekend

Hope you are hungry because it is time to get your grub on. Three food festivals will be in full swing this weekend that you certainly do not want to miss. Which one do you attend? How about all three!

MAC AND CHEESE FEST
November 17 & 18

The Mac and Cheese Fest location is in a new location and has gloriously expanded from a one day festival to two days. More than 20 restaurants will embark on the Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, all bringing with them various tasty mac and cheese-inspired dishes, Restaurants include Bottled Blonde, Trapp Haus BBQ, Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, Babbo Italian Eatery, The Duce, and Dave & Buster’s


Each restaurant will have at least one sample-sized dish for $2.

For the 21 and over folks, there will be a beer garden. General admission is $15 which includes access to the festival. Food and drink tokens are bought separately. VIP tickets are $75 and include VIP entrance and bathrooms, four drink vouchers and five mac and cheese tokens. Beer garden access is an additional expense and tickets are $20.

 

PHOENIX PIZZA FESTIVAL

20 restaurants and food trucks will be at Margaret T. Hance Park in Phoenix preparing their dough for the third edition of the Phoenix Pizza Festival.

Restaurants include Kono Pizza, Floridino’s Pizza & Pasta, Buddyz Chicago Pizzeria, Saffron Jak and Freak Brothers Pizza among others. Each restaurant will offer pizza slices for $2-$4 each. Some restaurants will have half- and pull-pies available for purchase.

Organizers expect the festival to sell out. Admission is $10 and tickets must be bought online. It is important to note that tickets will not be sold at the gate. Admission includes access to the festivals, the games and entertainment, food and drink are additional costs.

The Downtown Donut Festival is making its grand debut this weekend in Phoenix.

More than 30 doughnut shops and restaurants will offer doughnut-inspired creations for indulging. Samples will be available for $1 each.

Pokitrition will feature sushi rolls shaped doughnuts. Jewel’s Bakery & Cafe will have gluten-free popcorn chicken and doughnut holes baskets and the Donut Parlor will have large pink doughnuts inspired by The Simpsons to enjoy.

Music, backyard-style games and a vendor market will be available. Admission is $8 and tickets must be bought online. Tickets will not be sold at the gate.
